Finer Things Club

As King of the FTC, I'll try to give a report of the FTC every couple of weeks.

Our Grand Duke of Music, BigHairCut40, has been too busy lately for his duties as Grand Duke. There is an Archduchess, but she also has been too busy with the real world to work with the music division. I ask that until they return, everyone keeps the music division alive with discussions and commentary on the music world.

The movie club as also been slow, as the co-Grand Duchesses have been missing. These club aren't staying alive like they were when the FTC was formed. It needs the support of the members to stay alive!

I don't even know what's happening with the television division. It is hard to actually pick something to talk about. If you have discovered a new show or you're re-watching an old classic, try to stir up discussion in the TV division.

The book club has been doing great under the work of WinterStarzz. I honestly don't know what to say about the book club, so Starzz, if you have something you'd like to insert here, let me know.

The gaming club is the newest division of the FTC and has been very popular within it's first couple of weeks. This week's game requires a steady hand and a good eye, as you are an assign for the local mafia.

If you'd like to start a division of the FTC, let me know and we'll get one started. If you would like to help with an existing club, contact the Grand Duke/Duchess of that club. I'm sure they would love to have help.

Hi I'm Deb!

I'm an ATTRM at Ypsi (That's Assistant TO the Regional Manager for those who don't know).
I am "the funny one" I write humorous poetry, stories and parodies.
I have another blog where I made fun of Days Of Our Lives, until they became a parody of itself then there was just no point.

I will try to post at least once or twice a week with a funny observation about The Office, or something Ypsi related.
I hope I am able to give everyone a laugh, a chuckle or at the very least a smile.

Hello, I'm Clockwise

I'm Clockwise, the Regional Manager of Dunder Mifflin Ypsilanti. I plan to use this blog as another way to get information to you, the Ypsilanti employees! Reminders about task deadlines, voting, that sort of thing. We can also use it to show off some of the things we come up with in our branch forum - that way the whole world can know how creative the Ypsilanti branch is!

In my opinion, the best way for you to use this blog is to subscribe to it using the RSS feed. I use Google Reader to subscribe to RSS feeds and it's fantastic! What does it do? Well instead of getting up every morning and going to OfficeTally to see the latest Office news, then Amazon to see the daily deals, then to my favorite blogs to see if they've been updated, etc. etc., I just go to Google Reader and all the latest information and blog posts from my favorite sites are right there in one place! This is especially helpful for blogs that probably won't be updated every day (like this one) since you don't have to keep checking in to see if there's anything new.

I am subscribed to over 70 blogs and news sources using Google Reader - there's no way I could visit all of those websites everyday! But I only get about 20-40 posts sent to Reader each day from these sites and I can easily scroll through them, read the interesting ones and ignore the boring stuff.

Here's some information on how to use Google Reader and add subscriptions; if you don't have a Google account, MSN and Yahoo also have their own RSS readers (just do a search for "my MSN rss help" or "my Yahoo rss help").

Introductions

Over the next week, we'll be adding new authors to the blog, to give their incites on Ypsi, DMI, and The Office. As you join, make your first post to be an introduction of yourself, what you'll be writing about, and even a plan you might have for making the blog better and more efficient. I'll start.

Hello, I'm creator and first author of the blog and I'm so excited to see it get started! I will be writing mostly on breaking Ypsi and DMI news, like, if the forum/site is down, new tasks, and some general commentary on the general stupidity of the Corporate Forums. The only way this blog can be efficent and useful is if we all use it. I hope that soon there will be something new to read everyday and we will check it just as often as we do the forum.

Thanks to you for reading/writing the blog.

Welcome to Ypsilanti's Blog!

Here we will post different events, updates, and musings of DMI Ypsi! We can warn employees of forum outages, update everyone on task changes, post the courier here to save room in the forum, inform the masses about Finer Things Club events, create polls, give chat updates, and even host musings from different Ypsi employees.

The main idea is to keep Ypsi employees update with the RSS Feed and to save a little room in the branch forum.

The possibilities are endless*!
